Siemens Information and Communication Mobile Group (IC Mobile) today received an order worth euro 65 million from the Indonesian mobile radio provider PT Telkom to set up a GSM network in Indonesia and install mobile transmission and switching technology.
"In its first stage, the network will reach 200,000 PT Telkom customers in Jakarta and Bandung on the island of Java as well as Lampung on the island of Sumatra by the end of August 2001 and by the end of 2001, it will be available to more than 400,000 customers," it said.
