A single shot was fired through a window of a house in Limerick city early on Saturday morning

A single shot was fired through a window of a house in Limerick city early on Saturday morning. The incident at Belfield Crescent, Farranshone, took place at 2.40 a.m. No one was injured in the attack.

Gardai at Mary Street said this was an isolated incident and not connected with recent shootings in the city in which one man was shot dead and another had to receive emergency hospital treatment.
