Gardai are investigating a series of "ram raids" in which at least eight business premises were extensively damaged in Limerick city, mostly in the Ennis Road area, and at Barrys Cross, near Parteen in Co Clare, on Saturday night.
A Garda spokesman at Henry Street said one vehicle was used in the rammings. No goods were taken and no one was injured.
