Round the world voyager Tim Severin has announced details of his next project, the Spice Islands Voyage. His notes and photographs will be recorded on an IBM ThinkPad during the five month voyage. The computer will direct the images from his location in the Spice Islands (or Moluccas) via satellite to the Internet.
Schoolchildren in Ireland will be able to monitor the voyage through an education project sponsored by the University of Limerick and the Department of Education.
