The sentence hearing of a Bosnian convicted of orally raping a prostitute has been adjourned to January 16th. In the Central Criminal Court yesterday, Mr Justice Geoghegan said some reports on the defendant, Meho Slavotic (44), had worried him.
The judge said he wanted to know what facilities would be available to Slavotic in prison to give him some training and English lessons.
Mr Sean Ryan SC, prosecuting, said the authorities had been unable to locate the woman to prepare a victim impact report as she had moved address. She had told the trial in October she no longer worked as a prostitute.
