The Sinn Féin ard fheis has got underway this morning amid tightened security.
Gardaí have been searching delegates and their cars as they enter the Royal Dublin Society conference centre in the fashionable Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge.
The estimated 2,000 delegates are due to be addressed shortly after noon by representatives of the political wing of the Basque separatist group, ETA.
