A second man has appeared in court in connection with the death of a Romanian man, Mr Adrian Bestea (21), whose body was found in a suitcase near Binn's Bridge in Dublin's Royal Canal on July 20th.
A Latvian man, Mr Valentins Korelovs (24), of 100 Tritonville Road, Sandymount, was arrested in Dublin city centre on Saturday and detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
This morning he was charged with assault causing harm to Mr Bestea at Flat 5, 137 Strand Road, Sandymount, on the 8th of July. Mr Korelovs was remanded in custody to appear in Clover Hill Court next Friday.
Another man is in custody charged with assault causing harm arising out of the same incident.
On Friday, Mr Igor Derjhack (28), a Ukrainian with an address at Mountjoy Square, Dublin, was charged with assault causing harm to Mr Bestea at a flat on Strand Road, Sandymount, on July 8th.
He is also due to appear in court on Friday.
