A group seeking the construction of a new community school in Knocklyon, Dublin, yesterday picketed the Dail, claiming the Department of Education was planning to dispose of an 11 acre site on Scholarstown Road originally acquired for the school.

The Knocklyon Post Primary Committee said the area felt "betrayed" by the Minister for Education and the Minister of State, Ms Eithne Fitzgerald, because they failed to build the school.
