Pete Sampras has accepted a wild card entry for the Australian Hardcourt Championship, which starts in Adelaide on New Year's Eve.
The former world number one will be seeking his first tournament victory since 2000 and end a poor run of form which has seen him drop to 10th in the world.
Sampras joins Tim Henman, Marcelo Rios, Nicolas Kiefer, Thomas Enqvist and Australia's Mark Philippoussis as big name entrants for the event.
World number one Lleyton Hewitt will miss the event.
