A senior Ryanair pilot resigned today after allowing two cabin crew staff to fly from Spain seated in the toilets in breach of aviation regulations.
The captain, who had 30 years of flying experience, let the off-duty crew members fly from Girona to Dublin even though the flight last Sunday was fully booked.
Both cabin crew, who were said to be experienced members of staff, were sacked after refusing to resign, the low-cost carrier said.

In a statement, a Ryanair spokesman said: "Ryanair has conducted an investigation of this incident over the past five days and has co-operated fully with the Irish Aviation Authority, which is also conducting its own investigation
"Ryanair operates to the highest international standards and any breaches will be dealt with the utmost speed and gravity."
