The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has expressed regret at the death of an Irish soldier while on peacekeeping duties in south Lebanon. A spokesman called for the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the area and the reestablishment of the territorial integrity of the Lebanese state.
