The Pro-Choice Campaign has condemned the decision to take the case of a 13-year-old rape victim to the High Court.
In a statement last night it said: "It is obscene that the courts and parliament should be debating whether to compel this child to be a mother. If this girl had not come from a socially deprived background, she would never have become entangled in Ireland's absurd abortion laws."
