The RUC has condemned a pipe bomb attack on a house in Co Derry last night in which a woman and two children escaped physical injury.

The woman and children, aged five and three, were in an upstairs bedroom of the house at Laughanhill Park, Coleraine when the bomb exploded after 11 p.m., but were unharmed.

The RUC has said the incident is not being treated as a sectarian attack.

All three are being treated for shock today.

A number of items have been removed from the house for further examination.
