The RUC are investigating a pipe bomb which exploded in an unoccupied house in Belfast.

The RUC are investigating a pipe bomb which exploded in an unoccupied house in Belfast.

RUC officers discovered the pipe bomb attack had occurred while examining the house in Donegal Avenue yesterday.

A neighbour had heard an explosion at around 1 a.m.

The device had been thrown into the rear kitchen causing extensive damage to the room and fittings. It is understood the house had been unoccupied for some time.
