The RUC last night said it was investigating an incident in which the owners of a house in the Catholic Garvaghy Road area of Portadown claimed masked gunmen had tried to break in.
In a statement the RUC said: "Police in Portadown are investigating a report from a resident of Garvaghy Park that a number of masked men, one armed with a handgun banged at the door of his home at 8.45pm. He alleges they broke a window before running off.
