A murder inquiry began yesterday following the death in hospital of a man who had turned up with serious injuries at Bangor RUC station, Co Down, on Saturday morning. Detectives believe the man was assaulted in the Dufferin Avenue area of Bangor between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Saturday. He had suffered abdominal and internal injuries and died on Saturday evening. The RUC does not believe the killing was sectarian. The man, Mr Daniel Angus (39), was from Dufferin Avenue. Two people were yesterday helping the RUC with its inquiries.
