Aston Villa's hopes of taking Paul Robinson to Villa Park stalled today when talks between the goalkeeper's advisors and the club broke down.
Robinson's party were in talks with Villa after his club Leeds United accepted a £3.25 million bid from their league rivals earlier this week.
"It is not known at this stage why the talks broke down or whether they can be resurrected," said a report on the Leeds website.
Villa manager David O'Leary returned to his former club to try and make the 23-year-old his first major signing since taking over last month.
