LONDON - The British Foreign Secretary, Mr Malcolm Rifkind, yesterday rejected a referendum deal being brokered by Mr John Redwood and Sir James Goldsmith on membership of the EU. The rejection increases the threat that Eurosceptic candidates could be put up against Tories, helping Labour in key marginals in the next general elections.
