The Minister for Education has received a Higher Education Authority-commissioned review of the cost and fee structures of the National Council for Education Awards (NCEA), which validates the qualifications of non-university third level institutions. The review, by management consultants KPMG is critical of the NCEA's services and funding arrangements, concluding that "significant cost-saving potential existed".
