Jakarta - A leading Indonesian daily has sacked a reporter and reprimanded a sub-editor who were behind a controversial article over a recent bomb blast which the military blamed on a banned pro-democracy group.

Meilani Dhamayanti (25) was dismissed by the Media In- donesia after a report quoted a jailed pro-democracy activist as denying military allegations his outlawed People's Democratic Party (PRD) was behind the blast.
