Arrangements are being made to repatriate the bodies of the five Eastern Europeans killed in Saturday's car crash in Buncrana, Co Donegal.

Speaking on radio this morning, Ivar Lasis from the Latvian embassy said all of the victims' families had been contacted. Mr Lasis also said that he expected the remains to be repatriated by the end of the week.

The four Latvians and a Lithuanian were killed in a two-car collision on the Inishowen peninsula in Co Donegal.

The crash happened at around 4am on Saturday at a sharp bend at Lisfannon, and only one person survived. One of the cars burst into flames following the impact.
