A case against a Co Carlow former bank official was adjourned for a month at Bagenalstown District Court yesterday to allow a book of evidence to be completed.

Sean Kavanagh, of Monacurragh, Carlow, denies 229 charges alleging fraud, falsification of accounts, and larceny at the Bank of Ireland branch at Bagenalstown between December 1989 and July 1997. Mr Kavanagh was remanded on continuing bail.
