Fulham boss Jean Tigana and Tottenham misfit Sergei Rebrov were today having talks in a bid to seal a deal taking the Ukrainian striker to Loftus Road.

The Cottagers are reported to have agreed a knockdown fee for the 28-year-old, who cost Spurs £11 million sterling from Dynamo Kiev in the summer of 2000.

Rebrov's agen, Sandor Varga, said: "Sergei's having talks with Tigana this morning about everything to do with the deal. Then we'll see what the situation is"/

Varga claims the deal is "95 per cent done" and only personal terms and a medical stand between his client and his transfer.

Tigana is desperate for a striker to revive his side's slump, which has seen them tumble to 16th place, just five points above the relegation zone.

Rebrov, signed by then-Spurs boss George Graham in summer 2000, is desperate for first-team football after being frozen out under Glenn Hoddle - he has not played a single first-team game this season.

Fulham have fought off strong interest from Turkish side Fenerbahce to become favourites to land Rebrov.
