THIS YEAR’S Bloomsday festival begins tomorrow, offering enthusiasts of James Joyce’s Ulysses the chance to celebrate Leopold Bloom’s meandering journey around Dublin.

The festival runs until June 16th – Bloomsday – offering walking tours around the city and traditional breakfasts and readings. It includes performances of Donal O’Kelly’s play Jimmy Joyced! at the James Joyce Centre on North Great George’s Street and themed tours based on both Dubliners and Ulysses – the latter being set entirely on June 16th, 1904.

Further information on Bloomsday and events running during the festival can be found at www.jamesjoyce.ie
