A publican (29), who was the driver of a car involved in a three-vehicle collision in Monaghan on December 27th last year, has been remanded in custody for sentence at a hearing on October 4th. Three people died in the crash, including a pregnant woman.

Kevin McArdle of Longfield, Co Monaghan, pleaded guilty to a charge of dangerous driving causing death, before Judge Rory McCabe at Monaghan Circuit Criminal Court.
