Providence Resources said it has been granted an extension to the term of its Licensing Option 05/3 in the St George's Channel by the Minister of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources.
The oil & gas exploration and production company said the extension is until March 31st, 2008, adding the option contains the Apollo oil exploration prospect.
Apollo is a large Jurassic tilted fault-block 60km from the recent Hook Head appraisal well, which is undergoing testing.
