More than 100 pupils from Dundonald High School held a picket outside Parliament Buildings, Stormont, yesterday in protest at the appointment of Mr Martin McGuinness as Education Minister. They shouted "Out! Out! Out!" and "McGuinness out!".
They were not accompanied by any adults and said there was no party political involvement in their protest. Meanwhile, a petition of about 1,000 signatures, also in protest at Mr McGuinness, was handed in at Stormont yesterday by pupils of Castle High in north Belfast.
