There is a moral imperative on politicians in the North to keep the doors of communication open, according to the Archbishop of Armagh, Dr Robin Eames.

At a time of genuine difficulties for political leaders, the vast majority of people longed to see a sign of hope that a way forward could emerge, Dr Eames said. "Hope is essential to building confidence across the community. Trust is once again the casualty of events."
