The president of the High Court has made orders striking off a Dublin solicitor whose treatment of some of his clients was described as “disgraceful”. Mr Justice Nicholas Kearns granted the orders against solicitor Charles O’Neill, practising as Cathal O’Neill and Company Solicitors, Church Avenue, Rathmines, Dublin 6.

After being told Mr O’Neill’s whereabouts are unknown, the judge adjourned the matter with liberty to re-enter pending any application the Law Society may bring compelling the solicitor to pay restitution. Mr O’Neill was not in court.
