London - The British Prime Minister, Mr Tony Blair, told President Bill Clinton yesterday he was "thinking of him" as charges of sexual misconduct and cover-ups threatened to overshadow the President's State of the Union address.
Mr Blair told President Clinton that "he had been following events" and expressed his support during a 15-minute transatlantic telephone call, initiated by the American president, a spokesman for Mr Blair said.
The rest of the call focused on Iraq, the Middle East and Northern Ireland, Mr Blair's spokesman said.
