Mr Quinn (21), from Cullyhanna, south Armagh, was beaten to death by a masked gang when he was lured to empty farm buildings across the border in Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, on October 20th last year.

A spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said one man was arrested and two properties were searched in south Armagh this morning in what he described as the third phase of the ongoing investigation into Mr Quinn's death.

The spokesman said the searches, as with previous operations last week, were carried out at the request of An Garda Síochána.
