The couple have been dating for about nine months and might wed after the World Cup finals in France next summer, where the midfielder is expected to play for England. Posh Spice told a German magazine at the premiere of SpiceWorld in Dusseldorf: "As soon as Gucci makes clothes for expectant mums, I would even consider a pregnancy."

Former US first lady Lady Bird Johnson has celebrated her 85th birthday at a centre in Texas. The widow of president Lyndon Baines Johnson, she founded the National Wildflower Research Centre 15 years ago. It will be renamed in her honour in March.
A collection of more than 500 documents and artifacts and a racing sloop once owned by US president John F. Kennedy are to be auctioned next March. Many were personal articles belonging to Kennedy and most are from the collection of the late Evelyn Lincoln, secretary to Kennedy from 1953 until his death.
Brian May of Queen is to make a festive address at exactly the same time as Queen Elizabeth. The guitarist's three-minute message will be broadcast on music channel VH-1 at 3 p.m. on Christmas Day as the other royal message goes out on BBC1, ITV and radio stations.
Sweden's Queen Silvia (54) resuscitated a member of the Swedish Academy of Letters when he fainted during a dinner party last week, Aftonbladet has reported. The queen, dressed in formal wear, performed heart massage on Sten Rudholm (79) when he sank to the ground and lost consciousness after the dinner. A palace spokeswoman said Queen Silvia had once taken a course which included resuscitation.
