Rugby – Six Nations Squad News:Scotland have recalled Dan Parks while uncapped youngsters Richie Gray and Ruaridh Jackson also features in a 30-man squad for the opening Six Nations Championship matches against France and Wales.
Scotland host France at Murrayfield, Edinburgh on February 7th before travelling to play Wales at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff on February 13th.
Outhalf Parks was dropped for the recent Autumn tests but returns along with prop Alasdair Dickinson and lock Jim Hamilton, who had been injured.
"Dan has been playing well and it's an asset for us to have someone of his ability in the squad," head coach Andy Robinson said.
Glasgow's 20-year-old lock Gray and 21-year-old stand-off Jackson, who has recovered from a shoulder injury, both played for Scotland's A team last year.
"Richie Gray has worked hard to win a place in the squad and has applied himself consistently when playing for Glasgow, and we were also pleased to see Ruaridh back in action there," added Robinson.
The players will train at St Andrews for four days from Monday.
Four other players - including Jim Thompson, the uncapped grandson of BBC commentator Bill McLaren who died aged 86 yesterday - have been invited to train with the squad.
