About 300 local residents laid siege to Yeovil's police station last night in an angry demonstration over child killer Sidney Cooke, aged 71. They aimed to force police into disclosing the whereabouts of the paedophile, who is known to be under 24-hour surveillance at an undisclosed police station in the Avon and Somerset police force area.

But police refuse to pinpoint his location.
