Tampa - The parents of a 2-year-old boy who was stung to death by wasps face child abuse charges because they waited hours before calling for help, police in Florida said yesterday.

Investigators were told by friends of the parents they might have delayed calling for help because of their religious beliefs. The sheriff's office said arrest warrants were issued charging them with aggravated child abuse.
