Eight more paramilitary prisoners were released from jails in Northern Ireland yesterday under the terms of the Belfast Agreement.

The six loyalists and two republicans were freed from the Maze and Maghaberry Prisons in Co Antrim. Six were serving life sentences. A total of 182 prisoners have now been released. More inmates are expected to be freed later this week.
