Seoul - Heavy rains returned to South Korea yesterday, hampering search and recovery work after some of the worst flooding on record left more than 230 people dead and 91 missing.

But a disaster agency official said he feared the death toll would rise further as the weather office forecast that Seoul and most northern areas of the country would receive 85 mm to 250 mm of rain up to early today.
