Duesseldorf - German students launched a new wave of protests yesterday against education cuts, involving over 100,000 around the country. Dr Helmut Kohl was booed at a university in eastern Germany. Police said the largest demonstration, in the Rhineland city of Duesseldorf, drew some 40,000 students. Protests by tens of thousands more were also held in Berlin, Hanover and Mainz.
