One person is being treated for burns and smoke inhalation suffered in a house fire in Dublin city this morning.

Three units from Dublin City Fire Brigade fought the fire at Lower Buckingham Street that started shortly before 2 a.m.

The injured person is being treated in the Mater Hospital in Dublin.

Earlier this morning all occupants of a hostel on Talbot Street were evacuated after a fire started in a shop underneath.
