A man was killed and two others were injured when the car in which they were travelling crashed into a pole in Dublin overnight…

A man was killed and two others were injured when the car in which they were travelling crashed into a pole in Dublin overnight.

The collision happened shortly after 3 a.m. when the car collided with an ESB pole on the Castleknock Road.

Two other men were injured in the collision and taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown for treatment. Their injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

The dead man is a Lithuanian national, although his identity has not yet been confirmed.
