DUBAI - Mountain tribesmen in eastern Yemen have kidnapped an American oil engineer working for the US engineering group Halliburton, demanding compensation for lost land, a company official said yesterday.
The engineer was abducted by the Murad tribe last week from Rig 1 on the Saad alKamel oil field in the Marib region, about 300 km east of the capital, Sauna.
