World number one Ronnie O'Sullivan slumped to a humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of Scotland's Chris Small to crash out of the LG Cup in Preston.

The highlight of the semi-final match was Small's 137 break in the fourth frame, his second century break of this tournament which opened up a 4-0 lead.

O'Sullivan, who managed a sorry total of just 49 points in the first four frames, did retain a modicum of pride by taking the fifth but any notions of a comeback were quickly dispelled as Small held his nerve to take a stunning 5-1 win.
