O'Malley swings into action

The new captain of the Oireachtas Golf Society is Des O'Malley, who took over in December from Padraic McCormack. After years of service, the secretary, Colm Hilliard, stood down and has been replaced by Mayo Senator Paddy Burke. Each year, the captain has the privilege and duty of organising two major golf tournaments for Oireachtas members and connected people, and they take the opportunity of bringing this select gathering to their own constituencies. O'Malley plans one event for Adare Manor, just outside his Limerick East constituency, and the other for Ballyneety, which is in it.
