The calendar which had to drop a photo of a nude priest was published last night in Galway. The "Bare Shakers 2001" calendar is expected to raise £20,000 for charity, having doubled its print run to 4,000.
Macnas street theatre founder, Mr Paraic Breathnach, agreed to stand in for the publication when the photograph of Salthill curate Father Olan Rynn was held out.
This followed concerns expressed by the Bishop of Galway. The calendar carries 12 photographs, of local sportsmen, entertainers, businessmen and a gynaecologist.
