The Tanaiste has expressed serious concern at reports that China carried out a nuclear test explosion last Saturday.
Mr Spring said the Nuclear Non Proliferation Test Review and its Extension Conference last year had agreed that the "utmost restraint" should be exercised in the area of nuclear testing, pending the coming into force of a Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.
