Nine people were arrested by the PSNI today in a major crackdown on the Christmas sale of counterfeit goods.

Nine people were arrested by the PSNI today in a major crackdown on the Christmas sale of counterfeit goods.

The six men and three women were arrested during raids in Limavady and Coleraine, Co Derry.

Up to 16 houses were searched during early morning raids.

A police spokesman said £21,000 in cash together with a large quantity of counterfeit cigarettes and a gun were seized.
