Dr Oyeye, who had enrolled for a six-week course in tropical medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, was detained by gardaí at Dublin Airport on Tuesday of last week.
He is to be released from Mountjoy on certain conditions including the surrender of his passport for the duration of the course. He will also have to leave the jurisdiction within two weeks of finishing his course.
Dr Oyeye arrived in Ireland with a valid passport and visa but was detained by an immigration official who believed he had come to Irelandwith the intention of illegally entering Britain.
