New Order, American rock band Wilco and dance stalwarts Leftfield have been confirmed for the Forbidden Fruit festival which takes place on the June bank holiday weekend in Dublin.

It will be New Order's first headlining Irish show since 1986. The band were one of the most influential of the 1980s and have had a number of comebacks since. They reformed last year.

New Order will take the Sunday night headline slot of at the urban festival in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham. They will be supported by Death Cab for Cutie, The Rapture and Death in Vegas among a number of bands.

Leftfield, who have been a favourite at Electric Picnic, headline on the Saturday night and will be supported by The Bloody Beetroots, Booka Shade, Factory Floor and Bear in Heaven.

The last day of the festival will be headlined by Chicago rock band Wilco. They will be supported by Irish songwriter James Vincent McMurrow, Beirut, Mazzy Star and others.

This is the second year of Forbidden Fruit following a successful year at the Royal Hospital which featured headline performances by The Flaming Lips and Aphex Twin.

Early bird tickets go on sale tomorrow morning priced at between €45 for a day ticket to €110 for a weekend pass. General tickets will be priced at €49.50 for a day ticket, €89.50 for a two day ticket and €115 for a weekend ticket. There will be no camping facilities on site.

Separately, two of the biggest hip-hop stars in the world, Jay-Z and Kayne West, will play a concert at the O2 on Friday, June 8th as The Throne. The pair released the album Watch the Throne last year. Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday priced from €69.50.
