Sources in Nepal say the body of Princess Prekshya has been recovered from the wreck of a helicopter that crashed this morning.

According to reports, an official source said her body is to be flown to the capital, Kathmandu.

The princess is reported to have died when the French-built helicopter plunged into the Rara Lake in western Nepal.

Earlier reports said four others were killed and that at least one, a doctor, had survived, reports Nepal News.

In June, 14 members of the royal family, including King Birendra and Queen Aishwarya, were killed when Crown Prince Dipendra went on a shooting spree.

Princess Prekshya was not in the palace at the time.
