The name of the man who drowned in Wicklow at the weekend has been confirmed as Dr Julian Hart (73).
Dr Hart, from Dalkey in Dublin, had been out with family at Avoca river on Saturday when he lost his footing at the Meeting of the Waters. His daughter, Eileen Buck, had attempted to save him from the fast-flowing water but he was pulled from her grasp. His name was incorrectly reported in yesterday’s paper.
